The first step in wine training starts with the study of wine appellations. To understand how different grape varietals vary from region to region, sometime just a river apart from one another, each region often specializes on certain grape varietals, wine making style,  with unique landscape, vineyards, “terroir” and therefore, each has something special of their own to offer.
