Louis Martini Winery has been making wine in the area for over 90 years, situated right in the heart of the Valley along highway 29, it is a short distance to downtown St. Helena and therefore a stone throw from some of the most incredible culinary experiences in the valley.
Look can be deceiving from the outside, guests will be first welcomed with a bright and lively Sauvignon Blanc then the fun begins. A grand lobby entrance promises guests of amazing wine tasting experiences to come.
The Winery offers an array of wines at very reasonable prices. One of our favorites is Merlot Lot 254, Merlot is typically a blending grape made famous from the Bordeaux region in France. But at Louis Martini, this Merlot takes center stage, very attractive with rich dark fruit laced with perfume on the nose and just as persuasive on the palate. When you are here, Lot 1. is a must try. It was first introduce over 70 years ago, the best expression of what the winery has to offer.
Louis Martini is a great stop if you are ever in the valley for some wine tasting. The estates offers both outdoor and indoor tastings, did we mention Cave & Cellar tasting as well as food and wine pairing experiences. We can’t wrap it all up in one trip, so you know we’ll be back.
